PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the wishes of the client, we designed a micro office, fully equipped with “custom-made” furniture, from the boss’s desk to the director’s chair. The inspiration for the concept was the dream of most men, the “male cave”, which, however, contains official and strict moves suitable for the offices of large corporations.

The office itself is located in a complex environment, vaulted with a hundred-year-old handmade brick and a small but vital window through which the sun gently pierces its rays every morning and warms the entire space.

In the special requirements, the customer included an optional extra seat around the main table, a rest area, and the highest level of safety. In order to relieve the limited space available, we have created a unique table that allows the inclusion of a spare chair as part of the design, so that a possible separation is virtually invisible.

The next challenge we faced when preparing the perfect atmosphere for a rugged but at the same time structurally arranged office was the placement of a rest area. It was most effective to place the resting futon as close to the sun’s rays as possible. The client’s hectic schedule requires him to sleep in practically any available time frame, so his wish for the area to become an all-encompassing quiet zone was perhaps an inviting corner to take a well-deserved few short minutes for a break. Sit by the window, find some width and breathe. Don’t we all need such a place from time to time?
