The design of the Karlovšek apartment began with the aim of maximizing the use of space in a smaller square footage apartment. A solution was proposed for the most comfortable space placement solution for a family of four, where it was necessary to add a workspace or a small office in addition to two bedrooms and living spaces. The desire was for a larger L-shaped kitchen with an added island as an additional work surface, to which the dining bench can be attached immediately, without any offset. With its minimal dimensions, the dining table fits nicely into the room and allows the space around it to “breathe”, which opens onto the balcony. The living room is designed as a modern solution for such a space in very small square footage, where instead of an ordinary sofa set, it was proposed to place a sofa-bed or a large sofa, which with its dimensions encourages a bed. As an ambient addition, a “jungle” detail was added to this room, as a green corner that brings a lot of energy and positivity. The greatest emphasis on the concept took place in the bedrooms, where very affordable and functional bedrooms were organized in rooms where no bedrooms were intended. The children’s room has a planned solution with two beds at a height below which there are wardrobes and additional play and storage areas. A small office was placed in the corner of the master bedroom to fill an unused corner.

When designing the entire apartment, there was a desire to use wood and greenery as much as possible, and an emphasis on the reorganization of the rooms. The furniture was also designed in soft pastel colors with the addition of wooden details and elements. The visual image of the apartment encourages a very comfortable stay and relaxation in every room.
