N8 project

The hilly terrain with a nearly 10-meter altitude range is surrounded by multi-layered views. From the north and west, the view extends to the Kamniško-Savinjske Alps, and from the south, it is limited by the industrial zone, which makes it necessary to respond to the existing situation with a sharp adaptation to the surroundings.

The N8 project envisages the provision of basic and other living qualities while facing a thorough rearrangement of the outdoor terrain, which allows for an increase in window openings and provides a pleasant outdoor area.

The three-storey building allows entry to the building from the middle floor, through which the view of the lower, two-storey common living room extends. Above the middle floor, the open spaces are sensibly arranged, which offers above-standard veduta views of the Alps.

The residential neighbourhood N8 envisages a pleasant coexistence of three twins, who on a plot of less than 2,000 m2 retreat from the direct view of neighbours and thus ensure a high level of privacy of an individual family, while all positions respect their micro-location.

The planned new building has a main veduta side made of a suspended façade, completely glazed, while the side façade part of the mantles is provided with covering façades. shingles, which also covers the roof of the building. The central entrance acts as a mirror image of the materiality of both halves of the building, with its glazing in the northern part further relaxing the views towards the beautiful landscape that surrounds the location.
