Project Brief

Silver House stands in the last section of Ljubljana’s high-end area called Bažigrad, an originally agricultural area that is now a conglomerate of residential, service and sporting activities – in other words, a mixed-use neighborhood. The building density parameters are higher here than anywhere else in Ljubljana, which shows the desire to give the neighborhood a new urbanity.

Extending over ten stories, Silver House stores the apartment in question on the eight floor of its hybrid construction.

“Coming from a place to past to design an architectural approach of the future has been elegantly warped with an idea of placing the calmness of bamboo forest as a frontier of remembrance. This way you are surrounded by the idea of a foreign nature that speaks of no time, just feelings.”

AAB’s finalized design in all furniture and details in the apartment brought a tactile life and a conversive story with seductive aesthetic qualities. Adaptable furniture settings allow for a larger family to gather for special occasions with a smart reclining solution of the kitchen table that encircles the entire living room in an enclosed entity.

The text description is provided by the architects. The apartment is located on the eight floor of the  Silver House whose interior has been overwhelmed by the layers of modern time and nature to accommodate the needs of those who inhabited it.
