Podkoren Apartments

Apartments Podkoren are located in the heart of the settlement Podkoren, which lies in the nature reserve Zelenci, one of the biggest Slovenian ski resorts area and in the immediate vicinity of the ski slopes.

The project addresses four rental apartments located on three floors.

The winter location dictated a stylish design inspired by skis, which appear in all apartments as sliding lamella walls to ensure privacy, whilst allowing the space dynamics and variability of daily usable area.

Apartment Neža on the first floor of 65 square meters is designed as a complete space for socializing, with a kitchenette as a connecting part of the two living areas. At the heart of the space is a Finnish sauna and a large fireplace, around which the individual living rooms can be separated from the rest of the space by sliding wooden slats, creating additional bedrooms with extra pull-out beds.

Apartments Mark and Anže are mirror twins, with unique bathroom solutions. The stylish combination of glass walls with either warm curtains or wooden panels with a ski motif optically and aurally divides individual subspaces, and can, according to the user’s needs also connect and open them into a single ambiance. The planned use of a single floor with micro-topping enables a comprehensive space effect, which conjures up a modern winter idyll in relation to wooden elements and a fireplace.

On the top floor, Apartment Urban creates a unique experience of space through its gallery living room with a private cinema and a corner for the youngest. With large skylights, which coexist with cold concrete and warm wooden and cotton elements, the space breathes a modern air. Due to its size and many options for extra beds, it is ideal for closed companies.
