In December 2021, Slovenian legislation adopted new laws regarding the legalization of constructions that were carried out without or in contradiction with the obtained building permit. With the successful legalization of the building, we obtain both a building- and a use permit.
"Legalization is the process of regulating the legal status of an already built building, part of a building, reconstruction or change of purpose of a building, carried out without a building permit or in violation of the conditions specified by the building permit, in which a decision on legalization or a permit for a long-standing facility is issued.
Legalization is not possible for a facility that was built after April 30th, 2004 and for which a legally binding environmental protection consent or a legally binding nature protection consent would have to be obtained before the construction, but this was not obtained, or intervention was carried out in the facility, for which a legally binding environmental protection consent or a legally binding nature protection consent should be obtained, but this was not obtained."
